Dear future flatmate!!!
My name is Ainhoa, I’m 22 years old, from Spain, and on September 1st I’ll be starting my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (Biodesign track) at TU Delft.
My story:
I was born in Madrid, Spain, where I lived in my parents’ house in the outside near the forest, but 20’ away by bus from the city centre.
Since I was young, I spent long periods (2-3 months during summer) in Ireland for language and cultural immersion, which helped me become independent and fluent in English. I recently completed my Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering which I also studied entirely in English, so I’m fully bilingual.
I am super passionate about travelling!! I have been solo-travelling in Vietnam, and also doing a medical volunteering program for 1 and a half months in Uganda.
Last year, during my final year of university, I did an Erasmus exchange in South Korea for six months. Here I shared a room with three other girls from completely different backgrounds and nationalities (Israeli, Korean, and French). This amazing experience really strengthened my adaptability and inspired me to search for a Masters abroad.
During my Erasmus, I made an incredible group of international friends, and as well, I met my current boyfriend, who happens to be Dutch 😉. That motivated me to start learning Dutch and to search for a Master’s program in the Netherlands, where I was lucky enough to get accepted at TU Delft. So here is where the adventure starts!!!
About me:
I’m super sociable and enthusiastic (always coming up with some fun plan!). I love doing activities outdoors with people, but I’m also very happy just having a beer and some good laughs together.
As a true Spaniard, I love going out, partying, or hitting a house or techno festival jejeje 😄.
At the same time, it’s important for me to have my own space to study or just chill. Also, I like to be pretty active: go to the gym regularly and love outdoor sports like running and mountain biking... You’re always welcome to join me!!!
What I’m looking for:
I would love to live in a lively and fun student house where people enjoy spending quality time together, whether it’s doing activities or just having dinner in the evenings. It’s super important for me that my flatmates are social, as being far from home, my new house will become my new family 🤗.
I’m looking for a place not more than 15-20 minutes by bike from TU Delft, near a train station, and maybe with a gym and supermarkets nearby.
I would like to move in around August 2025 (but I’m flexible and we can definitely discuss it!)
My budget is around 300–500€/month all included, and I would love to come visit you and the house in person before moving in. As my boyfriend is Dutch, I travel often to the Netherlands (my next trip will be around the end of May!).
